What's a resource, blog post, or sourcebook that has helped run YOUR game?

My prep is just coming up with the basic skeleton of an adventure and improvising the rest in the moment. For this approach The Black Hack 2e hardcover book has been invaluable. I’ve ran many sessions with nothing but pen, paper, dice and this book. Has maps, tables and a bit of just about everything included. Probably my OSR MVP.

Two that I love from the old circa 2019 Story Games crew—

Sandra Snan’s elucidation of her Blorb Principles, for running games where accomplishing something feels like an accomplishment: Blorb Principles.

Eeero Tuovinen’s Muster, which is sort of a guide to aggregating your own D&D from first principles as your group discovers what procedures might be necessary to explore the theaters of conflict that arise from challengeful play: Muster - Arkenstone Publishing | DriveThruRPG.com.

I started reading it yesterday out of curiosity, and I find it really interesting. At the moment, I haven’t seen anything I haven’t read before, but the exposition is pretty good (also, I haven’t found all this stuff together before).
