Blog post about exactly what the title says. While I’ve tried to avoid making my game / setting Maximum Recursion Depth too much about these things on a superficial/aesthetic level, they’ve been a large conceptual/subtextual influence on me, so I thought others might appreciate a catalogue of references and my thoughts on the various concepts, and also how they are represented in the setting.
Even if you’re not interested in my game, if you’re interested in these topics, hopefully, this will be interesting and useful for you.
