A few nights ago, I quite surprised myself when a gaming experiment worked out far better than I expected. I tackled an urban mystery investigation in a decadent swords-and-sorcery-tinged city … via a GM-less, SOLO RPG session combining two quite different resources: the narrative/story-game On Mighty Thews, and the very-OSR random-table resource, Gabor Lux’s The Nocturnal Table.
